Hurricanes' Captain to be ready for training camp
According to TSN, Carolina Hurricanes Captain Eric Staal says there's "no question" that he will be ready for training camp. Staal sprained a knee ligament during the World Hockey Championships. Staal said today that rehab is " a slower process than I thought and hoped" but he wants to see how his knees feel on the ice in August. Staal says that Carolina Hurricanes' medical team is "not going to rush it". Staal sprained his right medial collateral ligament in a collision with Alex Edler in May during the World Hockey Quarterfinals. TSN said that Staal refers to it as the most serious injury of his career. Staal says that he "wouldn't try to classify it as a clean hit" because after watching the replay, he isn't sure what Edler was trying to do. Staal was speaking at the Carolina Hurricanes' unveiling of the 2013-2014 uniform design.
