Alex Ovechkin suspended three games

According to the Washington Post, Alex Ovechkin of the Washington Capitals was suspended for three games today because of an illegal hit on Pittsburgh's Zbynek Michalek. This is Ovechkin's third suspension. He has also been fined twice. The current fine will make him pay $154,677.75. In a video, the NHL's chief disciplinarian, Brendan Shanahan, stated that Ovechkin's hit to the head was intentional. Here is the link to the video of the hit:
